Big Island Hawaii Real Estate’s on the rise! Homes for Sale On The Big Island of Hawaii Rise More Than 20%
Home prices on The Big Island of Hawaii rose by double digits in the last couple of months, with the median price of a single-family home increasing by 22 percent in October and the median price of a condominium jumping 34 percent, according to figures from Hawaii Information Service on behalf of Hawaii Island Realtors.
However, sales in both categories declined for the month.
The median price for a single-family home was $325,750 in October, compared to $266,500 in October 2013. Sales decreased 9 percent to 146 homes sold from 160 homes sold in October 2013.
The median price of a condominium rose to $295,000 last month, from $219,475 in October 2013.
However, sales of condos fell 21 percent to 49 units sold, from 62 units sold in October 2013.
